Appropriate Golf Apparel?
I 'm starting golf lessons in a couple of weeks, and i was wondering what to wear. obviously, i don 't want to go, and buy out a sporting goods store just yet, but the only "sports apparel " i have is for tennis. would it be inappropriate to wear a tennis skirt and polo to play golf in? the skirts are kind of short and i 'm just not sure how they 'd do outside. I 've seen these new hats on the us open that look like army hats, they kind of cover your ears and they arent stiff like a baseball hat. i really want one but i need to know where to get one, please help!!! (Read answers)

Why do golfers dress like that? and even the non-professional ones?would it make a difference if i came onto the course with a wife beater? (Read answers)
