Titleist Ap1 Regular Flex Vs Stiff Flex?
I just recently bought a set of titleist ap1 regular steel flex set 4- gap wedge and i 'm upgrading from a set of maxflis i 'm 17 years old and shoot around low 90 's high 80 's i 've been hitting my maxflis pretty well and when i went to buy the titleists i meant to buy stiff flex 's instead of regular but accidentally bought regular do you guys think i 'll be alright with the regular steel flex shaft? I dont have a handicap. at a 6600 yrd course that hosted the state am champ. i shoot around 41 to 43s for 9 most of the time some times lower others tad higher. i struggle to get up and down more consistently other wise id be 39s 38s most of the time. i am hitting ping zing 2 irons and i hate them to weighted in the toe for me. i want a better set of irons to help me improve my game by taking me to the next level. are ap2s a good choice? i hit my irons straight no problems there. thoughts? Trying To Decide Which Titleist Irons To Go With?
I 'm currently a high handicap golfer, i admit because i 've only been at this for a little over a year now (playing golf that is). i really like titleist equipment and wanted to buy one of their iron sets. i 'm 25, and i plan on practicing like crazy, and really putting in the time to become a low handicap golfer. these irons i buy are going to be my irons for a long time.so i 'm trying to decide between the cb, ap1, and ap2. it seems all titleist irons are made for the skilled to highly skilled players. i am not that right now.... but i am going to work unbelievably hard to become that! what would be the best irons for me to learn on, and then also benefit from as i get better and better? i really really really want to stick with titleist. thanks. also, if more information is needed, please just say so and i will add it to this question via edits. Titleist says that swing speed doesn 't matter at all when choosing a golf ball and it is a myth that you need a ball to match your swing speed. titleist also says that you don 't need a ball with a specific compression rate to match your ball striking either. bridgestone and srixon are all about matching swing speeds and compression rates, and they say that matching balls with your swing and ball striking is necessary. titleist says that a ball will perform for someone with a really high or low swing speed equally. callaway also is a bit more about swing speeds with their hex chrome/ black. who is right?
